Numb I was,

after those nights of constant affliction,

those long, dark nights

of gazing at your reflection:

which was alive and thriving

only in my imagination,

as you are the sole cause of

both my survival and my

utter damnation.

So, here I am, begging

and pleading for your

mercy and absolute absolution.

Don’t give me love because

you can’t, so help me with

the ultimate solution,

cause I, too, cannot go on like this;

so grant me death and be my path

penultimate to salvation.
